Other Important Points
Work Experience for MBA in Dubai: Most of the Universities in Dubai require an average work experience OF 2 – 3 Years at managerial level. However, we believe the average age requirement is higher. Thus, 3 to 5 years experience would be ideal. Again, more than the no. of years of work experience, we believe it is the quality of accomplishment at work that counts more.

Work in Dubai
Work in Dubai during studies:
As per the current labour laws in Dubai, it is divided into two major zones – Free Zone and Non Free Zone. International students are not permitted to work part time. However as per law, they are permitted to work for 20 hours a week in the free zone only. Placements in these cases will be limited and prior permission from the University is mandatory.
Post graduate students who manage to secure full time work must change from the university sponsored visa to an employer sponsored visa. Please note that the employer sponsored visas are not applicable to part time work. Certain facts for your queries are listed below:
- Students at universities and colleges in the UAE might find internships if their institute makes arrangements with various companies or organizations.
- Internships are usually unpaid jobs. Students must obtain permission from the institute where they are studying at, before they start working for an internship.
- Any foreign expat who is employed in the UAE needs to obtain a labour card (employment / work permit) from the UAE Ministry of Labour. Usually the employer arranges this for the employee.
